Violence Fiend stands out among Public Safety devil hunters because of how casually he breaks up the standard uniform. Instead of crisp dress shirts and neckties, he layers an everyday gray hoodie under a black suit and tops it with an ominous plague doctor mask. It gives him an offbeat silhouette that leans halfway between an office worker and a streetwear enthusiast.
Because most of this costume relies on standard garments, getting the build right comes down to proportion and how the pieces sit together. You do not need complicated tailoring, but balancing the bulk of the hoodie under the jacket and handling visibility through the mask will determine how comfortable you stay throughout a full day.
The Plague Mask and Hood
The mask defines the character more than anything else. Galgali wears a leather-style plague doctor mask with a downturned beak, small ventilation holes, and round eye lenses. The beak on his mask curves downward relatively tight to the chest rather than jutting straight forward like historical medical masks.
A commercial plague mask handles the shape well, though heat and ventilation are immediate hurdles. Leatherette and vinyl trap exhaled breath fast, which quickly fogs the lenses. If you pick up a standard mask, check the underside of the beak for airflow. Adding subtle extra breathing holes on the bottom edge keeps air moving and prevents moisture from pooling inside without altering the exterior look.
The gray pullover hoodie fits directly into this setup. The hood needs to pull cleanly over the straps of the mask without bunching awkwardly around the back of your skull. A standard mid-weight pullover works best here; heavy fleece adds unnecessary thickness under the suit jacket, while an ultra-thin tee-shirt knit will not hold its shape around the beak. Pull the hood up so it covers your hairline and the mask harness, letting the beak protrude naturally from the opening.
Layering the Suit
Public Safety agents wear standard black suits, but wearing one over a hooded sweatshirt changes how you approach sizing. A slim-cut black suit jacket that fits neatly over a dress shirt will pull tightly across your upper back and pinch at the armholes once you slip it over a fleece hoodie.
Opting for a jacket with a slightly relaxed or classic cut gives your shoulders room to move. You want the jacket lapels to frame the front of the gray hoodie cleanly, leaving the center chest exposed where the sweatshirt fabric shows through. Keeping the jacket unbuttoned is accurate to his relaxed posture and solves any tension across the midsection.
For the bottoms, straight-leg black dress pants keep the line clean. You do not need formal wool trousers; polyester blends or stretch suit pants drape well and withstand hours of walking without wrinkling heavily. Hem them so they break slightly above the shoes rather than dragging on the floor.
Footwear
Unlike Aki or Kobeni, who wear polished dress shoes, Violence Fiend sticks to flat black slip-on sneakers. The white vulcanized soles stand out against the all-black trousers and reinforce his informal attitude. Canvas slip-ons are simple to source and keep your feet comfortable, which makes this one of the rare cosplay builds where the canon footwear actively favors walking long convention halls.
