Cassandra‘s appearance in KAOS is rugged, practical, and unmistakably worn-in. As an ignored prophet wandering modern Crete, her wardrobe reflects someone living on the margins rather than someone dressed for a pristine set. The silhouette relies heavily on layered streetwear: an unbuttoned flannel sandwiched between a simple red tank and a sturdy denim jacket, paired with heavily smudged dark eye makeup.
Recreating this outfit doesn’t demand specialized sewing skills or expensive prop building. Because it‘s assembled from real-world garments, the secret is in the weathering, fit, and layering order rather than finding exact boutique replicas.
Layering the Upper Body
Start with the base layer: a ribbed or plain scoop-neck Red Tank Top. The red should be slightly muted or faded rather than bright crimson. It sits directly against the skin and rests loosely at the waistline, providing a flash of warm color beneath the cooler outer layers.
Over the tank goes a lightweight plaid Flannel shirt. Cassandra wears her flannel open and loose, acting as a mid-layer rather than a buttoned top. If the weather is warm, leaving the cuffs unbuttoned and casually pushed back over the forearms matches her hurried, practical aesthetic. An earthy or darker check pattern harmonizes well with denim without drawing all the visual focus away from the outer layer.
The outermost layer is a classic trucker-style Denim Jacket. Aim for a medium or light wash with a boxy, relaxed cut that fits comfortably over the flannel without pulling at the shoulders. A brand-new, stiff jacket will clash with her road-worn aesthetic, so give the denim some character before wearing it out. Running it through several hot wash cycles, roughing up the collar folds and cuff edges with coarse sandpaper, or gently distressing the pocket flaps helps break down that store-bought stiffness.
Pants and Footwear
To balance the bulky top half, pair the jacket and shirts with slim-fitting or straight-leg dark jeans, utilitarian cargo trousers, or dark canvas pants. Cassandra spends her days on foot in dusty streets, so darker tones like faded black, charcoal, or washed navy fit the character best.
For footwear, dark ankle boots, work boots, or well-worn combat-style lace-ups work best. Keep them scuffed and matte rather than polished to mirror the gritty texture of the rest of the outfit.
Smudged Prophet Eye Makeup and Hair
Cassandra’s eye makeup is her single most defining feature. It isn’t a neat, blended smokey eye; it’s frantic, heavy, and smeared, reflecting her sleeplessness and frantic visions.
Begin by lining both the upper and lower waterlines and lash lines with a soft, blendable Black Eye Pencil. Extend the pigment slightly past the outer corners and into the tear ducts, then smudge it downward onto the lower lid using your fingertip or a small pencil brush.
Set and deepen the smudged liner with a matte Black Eyeshadow pressed along the lash line and softly blended outward. Rather than keeping the edges clean, let the shadow diffuse unevenly under the eyes to mimic smeared makeup that has lasted through days of distress. Tapping a tiny dot of lip balm or clear gloss onto the center of the lid gives the pigment that slightly creased, lived-in sheen.
Her hair stays loose, textured, and slightly unkempt. A bit of sea salt spray or texturizing paste worked through dry hair adds separation and volume without looking styled.
