The standard cosplay approach is carving lightweight styrofoam or EVA craft foam spheres into shape, painting them pink, and wrapping them in magenta wig wefts. These finished spheres can then be screwed or glued onto clips and mounted to a short base wig. Each bun is secured at its base with a light pink scrunchie, which conveniently conceals the seam where the odango connects to the wig cap.
