The stark contrast comes from taking familiar high school uniform pieces—a dark tailored coat, cropped trousers, round wireframe spectacles—and violently disrupting them with a split-tone spiky mane, glowing red eyes, and a rigid, toothy jaw piece.
Because the base outfit is built around a modified gakuran silhouette, most of your effort goes into getting the head and face assembly comfortable and secure. When you have multiple accessories competing for space behind your ears and around your nose, the order in which you put on your wig, glasses, and mask dictates how long you can wear the costume without discomfort.
Face Pieces and Eye Wear
Put your red contact lenses in before applying any face paint, adhesive, or styling products. This keeps dust and stray wig fibers from getting trapped under the lenses. If you have never worn theatrical contacts before, insert them well ahead of event day to give your eyes time to adjust to the opaque tint.
The jaw piece defines Okarun’s cursed transformation. Molded prosthetic jaw pieces typically secure with an elastic strap around the back of the head. Positioning that band underneath your wig cap at the base of the skull prevents it from sliding down while keeping the strap completely hidden. If the mouth guard wobbles when talking, adding skin-safe pros-aide or adhesive tape along the chin cup anchors it firmly against your lower face.
Round wireframe glasses sit directly over the bridge of the nose. To prevent them from slipping down against the smooth plastic or resin of the jaw piece, check that the temple arms rest comfortably over your ears without pinching against the wig cap.
Styling the Spiky Wig
Okarun’s hair shoots upward in sharp, swept-back points, featuring white outer tips layered over a darker base. A dedicated character wig comes pre-sectioned with this two-tone color split, giving you the correct fiber volume right out of the bag.
To sharpen the silhouette after transit, separate the main spikes with your fingers and mist them lightly with strong-hold hairspray. Pinching the tips with a tiny dab of styling glue or pomade gives them the needle-sharp definition seen in high-speed action frames without causing the fibers to droop under heavy weight.
Tailcoat and Cropped Trousers
In his transformed state, Okarun’s school jacket pulls back into sweeping tails. A black tailcoat captures this flowing, wind-whipped look without requiring complex tailoring from scratch. Wear it open or loosely fastened at the midsection over a plain dark or white undershirt to reflect his erratic, hunched battle posture.
Black cropped dress pants give you the character’s distinct high-water hemline. The pant legs should end cleanly right above the ankle bone. If the cuffs fall too low, shortening them with a quick hem or folding them inward keeps the ankle profile sharp and unrestrained.
Finish the lower half with plain dark dress shoes or minimal low-top sneakers. Dark dress socks keep the transition between the cropped cuffs and the shoes clean, maintaining the high school uniform origin beneath the monstrous transformation.
